IBM Specialty Elite Partner – IBM’s Dynamic Infrastructure Program
Embracing IBM’s initiative to help clients build a smarter infrastructure, Micro Strategies became one of the first IBM Business Partners to achieve Specialty Elite Status for Business Resiliency in the Dynamic Infrastructure program. Eleven employees have completed extensive training and testing in data storage, disaster recovery and IBM Tivoli software. The goal is to help clients create infrastructures that drive down cost, are intelligent and secure, and just as dynamic as today’s business climate is challenging.
IBM Specialty Elite certifications enable Micro Strategies to offer enterprise solutions to companies of all sizes. Our effective tools and guidance help clients transform data centers within key areas such as virtualization and consolidation, energy efficiency and business resiliency.
“The Dynamic Infrastructure program will help us to help our customers utilize IT to drive business value, as opposed to IT being driven by business need,” says Micro Strategies CEO, Anthony Bongiovanni, recently interviewed by IBM. “This allows us to continue on the path of becoming more solutions-focused on the infrastructure side. It gives us the ability to be much more consultative with our customers.”

Denville Chamber of Commerce - President’s Award
The Denville Chamber of Commerce conducted its annual awards dinner on Saturday, April 25 at Birchwood Manor. Micro Strategies was honored with the 2009 President’s Award.
Micro Strategies was founded in 1983 by Anthony Bongiovanni when he recognized a need for custom software among clients who were implementing PC technology but had few options in accounting and operational software. As with most high-tech startups, the company was first headquartered in Anthony's apartment in Madison, NJ. Jim Veraldi worked part-time with Bongiovanni writing database programs.
During the 1980s the firm served clients in the small and mid-market with creative software solutions tailored to their business requirements. As technology advanced, Micro Strategies broadened its offerings to include industry standard hardware and software packages, while remaining committed to providing the highest level of service to their clients.
"Micro Strategies' proven track record of client retention and satisfaction is attributable to our unwavering mission … to position the client first in everything we do," said Bongiovanni, president of the firm.
Micro Strategies became a Denville business in 1985 when the company shared space with law firm Bongiovanni, Collins and Warden (founded by Bongiovanni’s father) at 104 Broadway. The firm’s Denville presence expanded in 1988 with the purchase of 85 Bloomfield Avenue.
The company has grown and adapted to the ever-changing market and technology advancements. Today, Micro Strategies has a dedicated staff of over 80 professionals whose primary work locations are at the two Denville offices.
"We are committed to the Denville community, and feel our location offers a competitive advantage in attracting and retaining staff, and easy access for client visits. Denville is convenient, offers unique retail/service establishments, and wonderful places to eat," said Veraldi, vice president.
Micro Strategies continues to serve the small and mid-size business markets within the NY/NJ metro area, and provides services to large enterprise data centers. The firm remains committed to providing the highest level of business and technology services to its clients, and forecasts at least another 25 years of doing business in Denville.
