The IBM BNT RackSwitch™ G8052 is an Ethernet switch specifically designed for the data center, providing a virtual, cool and easy network solution. When selecting the IBM BNT switches for a recently completed project, removing complexity and simplifying management were key decision makers. The project required high-bandwidth/low-latency switching that was easy to configure and maintain so the IBM BNT Rack Switch G8052 was the logical choice. Multiple G8052 switches were used to connect several IBM IDataplex clusters to a cloud infrastructure. This combination has proven to be a perfect fit for an upcoming internet music start-up company.
Micro Strategies designed a Hybrid Cloud solution for Music Mastermind′s www.zyamusic.com service which is a cloud based music creation offering. The Hybrid Cloud solution was designed as a PaaS (Platform as a Service) implementation for a worldwide rollout of a virtualized Hybrid Cloud solution to remote locations. The solution functions as a Hybrid Cloud with virtualized compute engines for workload processing, with an interface to public cloud providers such as the IBM Smart Cloud Enterprise for additional compute capacity when base workload is exhausted. Music Mastermind a three year old start-up company embraced Micro Strategies' proposal of IBM′s System x iDataPlex servers to increase scalability, reduce costs, and to reduce power requirements.
IBM virtual tape servers are designed to meet the disk-based data protection needs of the enterprise data center while enabling significant infrastructure cost reductions. IBM ProtecTIER Deduplication solutions, featuring revolutionary and patented HyperFactor® data deduplication technology, provide enterprise-class performance, scalability, and proven enterprise-level data integrity. The TS7650G Virtualization Engine helps enhance performance and provide the capacity needed for today's tape processing requirements. Deploying this innovative solution has helped reduce batch processing time, total cost of ownership and management overhead for a leading consumer products manufacturer.
