Description:
Responsibilities for experienced Sr. Systems Technicians/Systems Engineers include; installation, hardware troubleshooting, network administration, configuration and setup of computers, servers, and related equipment at various customer locations throughout the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan area. As well as, resolving end-user problems related to the installation, configuration and upgrading of customer computers, printers and peripherals. Applicants must have a strong knowledge of installation, service, and support in the following areas:
Minimum Requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree or Technical School Graduate.
- 2+ years of field service/installation experience w/ direct customer interaction required.
- A+ Certification is required.
- Server + Certification a major plus.
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License w/ impeccable driving record a must.
- IBM Certified Technician (or ability to pass IBM basic test within 1st 3-6 mos of employment) a must.
- Microsoft Certifications (ie. MCSE, MCSA, MCITP,) preferred.
- Printer certifications a major plus.
- Ability to lift heavy boxes of computers, servers, and monitors.
- Ability to physically maneuver/work in confined spaces and on ladders.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Ability to work w/remote and desk-side end-users at all levels.
- Excellent verbal, written & organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
- Solutions Company experience a plus.
